These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Aanvi application and website ("Service"), operated by Aanvi ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Aanvi. If you are between 13 and 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements. We may ask for verification at any time and may terminate accounts that do not meet the age requirement.
Your account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate information during registration and keep it up to date.
- Notify us immediately at support@aanvi.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
- One person per account. Account sharing is not permitted.
Content ownership and license
You own your content. Photos, videos, milestones, and any other content you upload remain yours. We do not claim ownership of your content.
By uploading content, you grant Aanvi a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and transmit your content — solely to provide and improve the Service. This includes creating thumbnails, optimizing media for different devices, and displaying content to family members you invite.
This license exists only while your content is on our platform. When you delete content or your account, this license ends and we remove the content as described in our Privacy Policy. We will not use your content for advertising or sell it to third parties. We may share your content with service providers (such as cloud hosting and content delivery networks) solely to operate the Service, but these providers may not use your content for their own purposes.
Family sharing
You control who has access to your family space. When you invite someone, they can view the content you share. You are responsible for whom you invite. We are not responsible for what invited members do with content they can access (such as taking screenshots).
You can remove family members at any time. Removed members lose access to your family space and its content.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload content that is illegal, abusive, threatening, harassing, or that exploits minors in any way.
- Use the Service to distribute spam, malware, or unsolicited communications.
- Attempt to access other users' accounts, data, or family spaces without authorization.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your relationship to a child.
- Upload content you do not have the right to share (such as copyrighted material belonging to others).
We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules at our sole discretion, with or without notice.
Intellectual property
The Aanvi name, logo, design, and all original content on the Service (excluding user content) are owned by Aanvi and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.
Service availability
We strive for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service interruptions.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. Where possible, we will give advance notice of significant changes.
Termination
By you: you can delete your account at any time from the app settings or by contacting support@aanvi.app. Upon deletion, your data will be removed as described in our Privacy Policy.
By us: we may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if required by law. In cases of serious violation, we may terminate without notice. For less serious issues, we may notify you and give you an opportunity to address the concern before taking action.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We specifically disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, be secure, or operate without errors or interruptions.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Aanvi and its founders, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of content, loss of profits, or damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Aanvi in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or fifty US dollars ($50), whichever is greater.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Aanvi and its founders, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service.
- Content you upload or share.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any third-party rights.
Dispute resolution
If a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us first at support@aanvi.app so we can try to resolve it informally. If we cannot resolve the dispute within 30 days, either party may pursue formal resolution.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes not resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, India.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email at least 15 days before the changes take effect. Changes required by law or necessary to address security issues may take effect immediately. Your continued use of the Service after changes are effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Force majeure
We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, internet or infrastructure outages, pandemics, or failures of third-party service providers.
Class action waiver
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not as part of a class, consolidated, or representative action. If this waiver is found unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim must be severed and proceed individually.
General
- If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
- Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right.
- These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Aanvi.
